Summer Time! Summer Time!
Memorial Day weekend is the symbolic start to summer in the US, even though summer doesn’t officially begin until June 21st. For some of us this means that school is out for summer and kids are celebrating everywhere!
Yet this can be one of the most stressful times for moms.
It’s Time to Let Go of the Excuses
For those of us who do or have exercised regularly know what all of these benefits feel like. I have known it my whole life. I played multiple sports as a child (and still do) and I worked out at a gym daily, for 20+ years. I always loved the way I would feel afterwards! I was happy, I had more energy, I was also extremely productive!
So, if we know all of this, then why don’t we commit to exercising regularly? Why is it the first thing to fall off our calendars? Why do we feel like it’s self-indulgent to exercise?
Choosing High-Energy Foods
Have you ever thought about which foods you tend to default to or eat regularly for a quick pick-me-up or quick satisfaction? And how do you feel when you eat those foods?
From My Kitchen to Yours
As we start this year off, I am really focused on healthy eating. So much of how we feel is dependent on what we eat. And to that end, not just what we eat, but how we eat and why we eat. So, from my kitchen to yours, I’m going to share with you what my family has been going through in our house for the past month…
What are You Waiting For?
How often do we say that we will do it later? Usually, we say we will do it later because something is standing in our way.
Kids are Back in School! What is next for YOU?
Never before did we realize how much we need our kids to be in school. Not only should we be celebrating our kids being back in a learning environment that is so important for their social and cognitive development, but what a treat for us! We get our time back!
Honoring my mother on International Women’s Day
She immigrated to England from Pakistan in 1965 as a medical doctor, ready to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology. Her father was the one who inspired her to go abroad. Her father asked her and her 3 siblings if they wanted to study abroad and she was the only one who raised her hand. My grandfather gave the same opportunity to his daughters as he did his sons. My mother knew there were more opportunities for women outside of her home country and she wanted more for herself.
Not sure what to cook tonight?
This is one of the biggest complaints amongst my clients and my friends. They do not know what to cook or are tired of cooking the same 3 meals over and over again. And since the pandemic started almost a year ago, we have all been cooking so many more meals at home than ever before. Not only are we cooking dinner almost every night, some of us are cooking breakfast and lunch for our families too!
What Passions Are You Ready to Start Reclaiming?
Countless women and mothers put their wants, needs, desires and passions aside, to take care of their loved ones - their children, their partner, their parents. It’s what we do.
Take Inspired Action AS IF…
These events were a great reminder of who we can become; to reflect on where we are now and where we want to be; and how we want to live our lives.
